Beginner courses are run all year around, usually indoors. The normal format is 6 evenings of 2 hours apiece, Mondays from 7p.m. to 9 p.m. All equipment is provided and the club has qualified coaches supervising. The minimum age we can accept is 8 years old.
The courses are run to National Guidelines, and subject to satisfactory completion a certificate is issued which will be accepted by any archery club as proof of basic competence and safety.
There is usually a waiting list, as we prefer to keep the numbers on each course low. This means each individual can receive personal attention and will not find themselves forever waiting for others to shoot. We expect a deposit when you are put on the waiting list, and the balance of the fee when you start the course. The deposit will not be refundable except in exceptional circumstances.
